Never has there been a guy as chilled out as Jayse. A "glass half full" kind of guy, Jayse holds a somewhat unique outlook on the world around him that has allowed him to see things in a much different light than most others, allowing him to see things that most would otherwise miss. Always regarding everything with a trademark relaxed grin and lazy drawl, Jay would rather just watch the clouds pass by then actually worry about anything.

Having known Niko since their days in day-care, Jayse learned early on that patience was a virtue when dealing with his more outgoing and energetic best friend. This coupled with his friendliness, was what allowed him to be the one to eventually introduce Mako into their duo, now turned trio, in 1st grade. As a result, Jayse took it upon himself to be the middle man between the two, acting as a foil to both Niko's more assertive and sometimes intrusive personality and Mako's nervous and easily panicked one. Though thats not to say he doesnt take advantage of the situation to throw in his usual brand of snarky or sarcastic remarks, often displaying a hidden level of cynicism behind his lazy drawl. At the same time, while being the one who usually keeps the two from going too far in their arguments, Jayse is also the only person who is truly aware of just how tight their friendship is.

Having grown up the youngest in a family made up mostly of scholars, his eldest brother being a world renown physicist, his parents university professors, and his younger twin siblings being prodigy inventors, Jude is no stranger to immense pressure. However, his calm and easygoing attitude can be attributed to his aforementioned close knit friendship with Mako and Niko, as well as his close relationship to his eldest sister.

Despite his attitude and the somewhat black sheep status he has gained in his family, Jayse is far from dumb. Of the group of friends, he is the most technilogically and mechanically savvy, even moreso than Terry.
